Trust The Process
I need to hear this just as much as you do.
LEADERSHIPPREPARINGENCOURAGEMENT

I want to encourage you, saints of God!
Exodus 3:7–9 (NIV)
The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them... and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey...”
I need to hear this just as much as you do.
We all know the account of God leading Israel out of Egypt and into their promised land. But this morning during prayer, I said, "God, you led me away from what I was comfortable with and placed me into something uncomfortable."
Here’s what I’m realizing:
When deliverance or change comes, there’s a mindset shift that must come with it. You have to set your heart like flint and declare, “There’s no turning back.”
It was easy for the Israelites to look back at Egypt — yes, it was hard, but they were familiar with it. Comfort can grow in even the harshest conditions. They cried out for change, but when change came, it was uncomfortable.
They went from knowing where their food and water were coming from… to not knowing at all. They forgot:
That God had performed signs and wonders just to get them into the wilderness.
That He gave them favor with their oppressors and they walked away with the wealth of Egypt.
That they crossed a sea on dry ground!
But the moment their lives got hard, that’s all they could see.
If you’ve stepped into your deliverance — if you’re walking in the “shift” that a true prophet spoke over you — then stay focused. You may feel like you're in uncharted territory, but others have gone before you. God has gone before you.
Keep your eyes on:
The cloud by day and the fire by night.
The Word, which is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path.
If you spend all your time complaining about the process, you won’t see the One guiding you through it. God didn’t bring you this far to abandon you. Yes, He’s leading you to a land flowing with milk and honey — but it's a process.
There are things in that land that must be driven out. And He won’t remove everything at once, or you’ll end up with a vacuum that attracts even worse issues. Trust the timing. Trust the strategy. Trust the pruning.
And above all — be obedient.
Too often we get impatient, feel alone, and link up with people or ministries that God never told us to align with. Just like Israel did with the Jebusites. They were tricked because they were vulnerable, and it cost them land that God intended for them.
How many times have we done the same? Saddled up with people out of loneliness or insecurity, instead of obedience? That choice doesn't just affect us — it affects those we’re called to minister to.
You gave up your ground — even just a little of it — because someone said, “You're supposed to be in covenant with me.” But if God said to stand alone, then stand.
It’s okay to be uncomfortable.
It’s okay to feel “lost.”
It’s okay to be walking through a strange place.
Just remember:
We cried out for God to bring us out of Egypt… and He did.
Don’t fall apart now. He’s leading you.
He’s walking with you through the wilderness for a reason.
There’s still a bit of Egypt in all of us that needs to be driven out. But once we reach our promised land, we’ll be able to say, “Look at the promise God fulfilled in us!” — and that testimony will lead others to their promised land too.
Trust the process.
Trust that God has your best interest at heart.
Trust the Holy Spirit to teach you.
Trust God.
