The Pot & The Deer Hide

This morning during my reading and meditation I saw two images.

The first was a seething pot on an open flame. This pot was full of meat and bones. The water was boiling and the blood and scum from the meat and bones was coming to the top. But the scum was not removed out of the water like it should have. It was kept in the water, contaminating the meat and broth of the bones.

The second image was a deer hide being tanned. For this to work you have to scrape all the meat and fat off of the inside of the hide. This first the tanning process to take place and it prevents the skin from rotting. But that is exactly what happened with this hide. There were chunks of meat and fat left on it and they became molded and rotten. This caused the whole hide to stink of death and decay.

These were one and the same in meaning.

In the image of the boiling pot, the Lord said, “I have tried and tried to seethe the things inside out of you. But you keep the things I am purging out of you and won’t let them go. Instead of allowing them to be poured/scooped out, you continue pulling them back in. What was meant to be a sweet savor unto Me has become contaminated with disgust and I am unable to use it for anything. It is filled with impurities. The broth and meat rot from within because you won't pour out that which is unclean.”

Of the image of the deer hide, He said, “I brought you forth to clean you and to cause you to be a covering, but because you refused to allow Me to cleanse you and scrape the flesh off of you, you have become of no use. The hide that won't tan has become rotted and only good for the trash. I can't even burn you with the fire for it will cause a stink to rise instead of warmth. I can't use you to cover anyone because the hidden things, the things under the covering, stinks. You won't yield to the stripping away of the flesh. Which has rotted the covering.

“Come back to Me before it is too late. These were sent as warnings of things to come. Allow Me to purge you, even down to your very bones, to bring forth the sweet broth I intended you to be. To be the nourishment that My people need. Come back to Me before the hide becomes too rotted to use. Allow Me to scrape away the flesh and the fat from off you so that I can use you to cover My People, like I intended you to do. To bring comfort and cover, to protect them from the elements of this world.
