Pruning 10/9/22

I had went and laid back down for a few minutes before getting ready for church and as I was dozing off I felt 2 large jolts to my back, almost like muscle spasms. I knew it wasn't though. I knew it was spiritual.

I began to pray and enquire. I really felt impressed that the Lord was saying I am cutting away 2 things. The first thing was the umbilical cord. He said that it was high time to get off the attachment of others. That He alone was going to, and has already supplied our needs.

He wanted people to stop running back to "mommy" for their fixes and to begin to stand on their own 2 feet with faith in Him. That we have forgotten how to trust in Him. He said that To live without faith was sin!

He said He wasn't talking to the newborn but to the one that is supposed to be mature already.

He said that He has called many to be teachers yet still need to be taught and this ought not be so.

The second jolt was that He was cutting away the things that were hindering. He said that many had ungodly ties in their lives and that He was pruning and cutting away the things that need to be shed off.

He said to be very sensitive to Holy Ghost in this season for it is a season of pruning. He said to make sure you aren't so attached that you are pulled away while the pruning is taking place. Pruning has to happen so that better fruit comes forth. Our fruit has been stunted because we have allowed these ties to hinder us spiritually. Yes, these cuttings are painful but are needful in this season of maturity. How can we lead others if we are still attached at the hip to our "mommy".

The Word says for the old women to teach the young women and old men to teach the young men. How can this be if we have our growth stunted because all we ever encountered ourselves was the milk of the mother's breast and not the meat and potatoes of the Word.

How can we move forward if we have so much ties that we are hindered from moving at all?

We can allow this pruning and cutting away or we can die in the death of stagnation, for the Spirit of the Lord is on the move and if we are planning on moving with Him we have to be loosed from the ties of hinderance and the umbilical cord of our mothers.
